Jewelry Care
Your jewels have to be cured and conserved at their best, especially if they are worn frequently.
In fact jewels are living objects, they interact with the environment, to make them look perfect you need to take care of them.
Here are some tips you need to follow if you want your jewels to look beautiful for the years to come:
- To prevent oxidation, keep your silver jewellery in a cool and dry place, stored in an acid-free tissue. It’s important to keep jewels made of mixed and/or different materials in individual boxes or soft porches because the long lasting contact between them can cause tarnishing and scratches.
- Wash your jewels in warm soapy water using a soft bristle for intricate details and dry them carefully because humidity brings oxidation.
- Try not to wear silver jewellery when you get in contact with household cleaners, body lotions and perfumes, because the leftovers of these substances can seriously damage silver after frequent exposure.
- Many of our jewels are crafted with a burnished finishing, using aggressive silver detergents can partially delete this wanted effect, lowering the value of your jewel. In this case we suggest you to polish your jewel simply with water and a very delicate detergent.
